Developing your Research Career

Event Description

In the light of the restrictions related to COVID-19, the course will be offered online and delivered on the dates below.  Each of the three workshops will be run for two 1.5 hour sessions with a 50 minute non -screen self-study activity space dividing these sessions.  There will be short breaks in the sessions too and small group work to ensure that the workshops remain interactive.  The individual consultations will be delivered online.

Individual Career Consultation

*Please note that participants on this programme should register for Workshop 1 - Developing Your Research Career only.
Once registered, a place will automatically be reserved for both parts of Workshop 2, and for the Individual Career Consultations.

**Both parts of Workshop 2 - Career Management may be made available to Research staff as stand-alone courses: Developing Your CV for Researchers and Preparing for Interviews for Researchers.

 

Overview

Have you thought about your career lately? Would you like some time to review and design the next steps in your career?

In order to provide Queen’s research staff with time and space to focus on their career development a programme of activity is available for you to join.

This programme will enable you to develop a deeper understanding of the potential for career planning.  The four-part programme aims to support researchers in looking at their interests and abilities, their career objectives and to develop career management strategies that work for them.  The programme includes a personally tailored career consultation in early July.
