First Aid Courses

Event Description

 

First Aid Courses are arranged by the University Safety Service.  There are two levels of First Aid training.

 

1. First Aid at work Certificate

This qualification requires 3 days training and concludes with a practical examination. The training can be delivered over 3 consecutive days during a week or 1 day per week over a 3 week period.

 

2. Emergency First Aid at Work (Appointed Persons)

This is basic First Aid training to allow an individual to give assistance to a qualified First Aider in an emergency situation. This training is delivered over 1 day.

 

Refresher Training

Both levels of First Aid training require refresher training every 3 years: 

• First Aid at work: 2 days refresher training

• Emergency First Aid at Work (Appointed Persons): 1 day refresher training
