11 February 2021, 09:30 - 11:00
24 March 2021, 14:30 - 16:00
Delegates will understand how best to overcome barriers to communications, how to maximise the technology for our current individual and team working priorities.
How can we be effective in working remotely and use our communication skills to make online meetings and interactions valuable? We will consider communications which cover our work-related social interactions.
How to best make use of the tools we have to support and maintain our working culture and engagement and make the most of the current working environment.
For many of us working from home is a new experience. With all new experiences comes a period of settling and finding your ‘new normal’.
Communications become even more important and if we are all honest, much more challenging than before.
This short learning session helps to explore some tips and techniques to support effective communications when working remotely.
- Identification of barriers to communication, in general and per channel and how to overcome these. (Face to face, emails, instant messaging, use of online workflows etc.)
- How to present yourself and engage people while communicating remotely
- How to maintain good relationships in a remote team
- Action planning with tips for application.
Any member of staff working remotely.
Participants will receive a concise ‘workbook document’ and some pre-work in advance of the session. This will enable the small group to prepare, engage and actively participate in the short development session.
This event will be delivered via a remote meeting platform, therefore participants will require a PC/Laptop or appropriate device to connect remotely via a link and access to a camera, microphone for audio and video collaboration.
