Being able to diffuse and manage conflict is the responsibility of all employees, not just managers. This session will explore how and why conflict arises in the workplace and impactful strategies to manage conflict. This workshop will provide you with understanding and tools to deal with these situations.
Overview: This session will build your skills and confidence in being prepared to deal with conflict in the workplace should this arise. The session explores the nature of conflict in organisations, the reasons for conflict and how you can apply strategies for understanding conflict and resolving it. Note: This session does not focus on formal processes for resolving conflict in Queen’s which may include raising grievances or accessing mediation, but aims to develop personal skills which can be applied in practice

- Understand how and why conflict arises
- Introduce strategies to understand and overcome conflict
- Action planning for application in the workplace
- Signposting to related sources of guidance or information in Queen’s.
