Projects are a common element of every organisation however the success of projects relies on the ability of projects teams to be able to work together to deliver projects effectively. This workshop will explore how projects develop, how they are controlled and monitored and also how project teams identify risks and plan to minimise the impact should the risks arise.

Overview:

Projects can range from simple projects to highly complex. The crucial skills to deliver an effective project remain consistent no matter the level of complexity. This course will explore areas such as initiating a project, understanding why projects fail, project lifecycle and project teams collaborating during projects, including managing risk, the importance of your stakeholders and communication.

Learning Outcomes:

  • To understand what makes a ‘project’
  • Have a better understanding of how projects are managed
  • Understand why projects fail and how to prevent failure
  • Explore the project lifecycle
  • Understand how to initiate a project and the tools required for project teams to collaborate effectively during a project.
  • Action planning for application in the workplace.
