Overview:
The Mood Matters programme, delivered by Aware NI, deals with unhelpful thinking, stress and low mood in a fun and interactive way and includes the following:
• Focuses on breaking down stigmas around mental health;
• Discussion looks at triggers for stress, signs and symptoms and how to manage;
• Group will learn the signs and symptoms of Anxiety and Depression and appropriate treatments for these;
• Teaches self-care techniques which promote resilience and a healthy mind;
• Aims to help adults learn about depression and recognise the role of self-help strategies in improving mood;
• Uses CBT concepts to highlight the link between thinking, behaviour and feelings;
• Signposting towards sources of support and help for themselves and others.
