Programmes for Clerical and Secretarial Staff


The Junior Clerical Skills Programme is aimed at clerical staff in grades 2 and 3.

Staff will be required to attend each of the sessions and will gain a "Completion Certificate" from the Staff Training and Development Unit.  (This does not constitute a qualification but an acknowledgement of successful completion). 



To assist less experienced secretarial staff gain knowledge, skills and confidence to provide a professional secretarial service to teams or managers.

NB Organisational Development will put every effort into ensuring that sessions run on the dates and times stated above but it may be necessary to make some changes throughout the year.



The programme requires commitment from participants and their managers as participants will need time to attend all sessions to gain a "completion certificate".  Please do not take up a place unless you fully intend to complete the programme as you may be preventing another member of staff from being given a place.

Applications for this programme must be returned by 21 September 2017however this programme is popular and staff are advised that places will be allocated primarily on a first-come-first-served basis.
