Developing Effective Non-Academic Interview Skills

Day 2 - (Mock Interview): 22 March 2018

 You will be required to attend for one hour on Day 2, which will consist of a mock interview with feedback.



This programme is designed to help prepare early career research staff to confidently perform at non-academic interviews.  Practice is a very important element in learning to develop effective interview skills.  The programme starts with a workshop on ‘Developing effective non-academic interview skills’ designed to make you aware of common questions you can be asked in non-academic interview setting, providing you with a structure you can use to answer these question and giving you a safe shared environment where you will start applying the lessons learnt.

This workshop will be followed by a Mock interview taking place on 22 March 2018.  The interview will last for 30 minutes after which you will be provided with specific feedback from the interview panel on your performance.  You will be allocated a one-hour slot between 9.00 am and 4.00 pm on this date for the mock interview.
