It is recommended for staff who will be appraising colleagues for the first time; it would also be useful for staff who require an update on the current process for reviewing performance and development.

  • The role of the appraiser
  • Guidance on:
    • Preparing for appraisal
    • Carrying out an appraisal discussion
    • Agreeing good objectives
    • Reviewing performance, linked to relevant standards
