Sexual Orientation Awareness

Event Description

 

Two training sessions for QUB staff on sexual orientation awareness will take place on the following dates:

• 14th March 2019, 12.30-2.00 pm (Senate Room, Lanyon Building)
• 11th April 2019, 12.30-2pm (Main Site Tower, Room 0G/009)

The sessions will be delivered by HERE NI and will cover the following topics:

• Sexual Orientation Awareness
• Clarity on appropriate language and words
• Different Types of Attraction
• Homophobia and Heterosexism
• Health and Well Being Issues
• Obstacles to Accessing Services and Support
• Lesbian Motherhood – Same Sex Families

We anticipate high demand for places, so you are encouraged to register asap to avoid disappointment. A sandwich lunch will be available for attendees.
