Web of Science: A Closer Look
Event Description
The Web of Science is an important multidisciplinary database of research literature that combines citation indexes for academic journal articles in Science, Social Science and Arts and Humanities disciplines. It also includes conference proceedings indexes. This course is recommended for researchers who wish to develop their knowledge of the content and functionality of the Web of Science database. Course participants will learn how to:
• access and search the Web of Science
• manage search results
• register with Web of Science and set up alerts
• view citation reports, find an h-index, and find a journal’s impact factor
