We are delighted to hear that Aine has been shortlisted for this recent addition to the Times Higher Education Award. Aine is a technician in the School of Pharmacy contributing to education and research within the School.

The IST 1/2 Day Virtual Conference took place on Wednesday 11th November 2020 9.15am - 1.30pm

Throughout the pandemic technical from across the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences have supported the QUB Covid-19 response by helping to produce buffer solution on campus which is vital for Covid-19 testing facilities in Northern Ireland.

Congratulations to Gail Carson and Áine McGuckin, technicians from the School of Pharmacy, recently awarded HEA Associate Fellowships for their contribution to teaching.

The University-wide event brought together staff, visitors and students for a range of talks, demonstrations and displays that showed off the work carried out by the University's skilled and diverse technical staff.

Technical staff Kirsty McLaughlin and Gaurang Patel provided a laboratory tour of the Tissue Culture facilities in the Centre for Cancer Research and Cell Biology in May.

On Tuesday 19 June over 100 technical staff came together in the North Lecture Theatre, MBC, for the first MHLS Faculty Technician Event.

The National Technician Development Centre is holding a photo competition for technical staff across the country. As always, our aim is to promote the vital role that technicians play in their workplace.
