Wellbeing Training

As part of Queen’s ongoing commitment to promoting and supporting staff wellbeing two half day training programmes are have been developed and are delivered in collaboration with Carecall who provide the University’s Staff Counselling service.

Staff Wellbeing Training: This programme, Improving Personal Resilience, is recommended for all staff. The training helps staff recognise their own personal capacity for overcoming adversity, challenge negative thinking and emotional patterns, gain an understanding of emotional resilience and learn how to promote and develop personal resilience in the workplace. The session shall emphasise the importance of self-care, allowing participants to understand their own personal stressors and how to apply suitable coping strategies. Finally participants will be advised of the support mechanisms available within Queen’s.

Manager Wellbeing Training: The training is aimed to equip managers with the skills to identify and understand their own personal stressors, recognise the importance that early intervention plays in dealing with issues in the workplace, deal with potentially difficult conversations and situations, and identify how to best prevent and manage stress in the workplace. In addition participants will also gain complete understanding of all the support that is available for both managers and staff in Queen’s.
