The Derry City and Strabane Civic Forum seeks to address key social issues including alcohol and drug misuse, emotional wellbeing and suicide prevention, and homelessness. The SUMIT project was delighted to attend the forum in October 2025.

At a showcase event in Leinster House, around 20 elected representatives engaged in discussions with the Queen’s academics on an all-island approach to tackling climate issues, community-focused research and healthcare provision.

The launch of the SUMIT project took place on 28 May 2025 in Queens University Belfast. Attended by over 40 people from a range of organisations as well as people with lived experience, guests heard directly from SUMIT partners and SEUPB.
