Professor Dagmar Schiek acting as an expert consulter to the Georgian government

18 June, 2019

Professor Dagmar Schiek, Jean Monnet ad personam Chair of EU Law & Policy and Associate Fellow of the Institute, provides consultancy via the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) in Georgia (South Caucasus), advising on implementing the EU Labour Law Acquis under the Association Agreement with the EU. Having met parliamentarians, social partners and officers from labour ministry during her first visit to Georgia from 6 to 8 June 2019, she said “This is an excellent opportunity to understand the relevance of social integration in post-conflict societies, and the role of the EU therein. It also gives a preview on how EU neighbourhood policy may work for the UK in the future”.
