Come along and hear about the story of the project so far, and the need for and benefits of a Museum of the Troubles and Peace, and to see how and in what ways you can help make this a reality.  There is widespread support for such a museum, and what is needed now is practical support.

Facilitated by Author and Former BBC Presenter Mark Devenport, the panel will include:

  • Professor John Barry, Professor of Green Political Economy, Mitchell lnstitute Fellow: Religion, Arts and Peacebuilding, QUB, and Co-Chair of the Belfast Climate Commission
  • Dr Irene Boada-Montagut, Museum of the Troubles and Peace Project Manager, and Peace Campaigner
  • Professor Frank Gaffikin,  Professor of Planning, QUB, MoTaP Board Member, and Community Activist

A brief presentation of the Digital Peace Museum pilot study by Dr Gul Kacmaz Erk, (Mitchell Institute Fellow: The Politics and Security of Institutional Peacebuilding) and Shelby Hanna will be followed by an Open Discussion around this pluralist museum and shared space for building peace and reconciliation in Northern Ireland. We all have a right to know about the Troubles, in all their complexity. Join the movement!
