The Sociology of Everyday Life Peacebuilding, by John Brewer, with Bernadette Hayes, Francis Teeney, Katrin Dudgeon, Natascha Mueller-Hirth and Shirley-Lal Wijesinghe. Part of the Palgrave Studies in Compromise after Conflict Series.

Research monograph addressing victims’ voices in Northern Ireland, South Africa and Sri Lanka. Gives direct voice to the mostly voiceless victims of conflict, and argues they have a capacity for peacebuilding that requires us to mainstream victims not side-stream them, and causes us to rethink what peacebuilding is and the skills it requires.

The Sociology of Compromise after Conflict, Edited by John Brewer, with Bernadette Hayes and Francis Teeney. Part of the Palgrave Studies in Compromise after Conflict Series. Edited Collection with contributions on Northern Ireland (3), South Africa (1), Sri Lanka (2), Sierra Leone (1) and Colombia (1). Focuses on the capacity for compromise, social trust and forgiveness in victims, and argues most first generation constitute ‘moral beacons’.

Heavily discounted prices available for purchases on the night, from No Alibis Bookshop.

With contributions from John Brewer, lead author, Brian Rowan, journalist, and Paul Gallagher, WAVE Injured Group
