Rukshana Zaman

Rukshana Zaman

I teach anthropology at Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi, India and hold a bachelor’s degree in Odissi Dance. Within the ambit of Social Anthropology, my research interests include ethnicity, identity, ethnic conflicts, social institutions, and anthropology of performance. I have been exploring the world of conflicts, emotions, and memories through visual documentation and like to express my views through poems, many of which have been published. Presently, I am working on an Artificial Intelligence (AI) based Museum project to capture the essence of emotions and narratives in understanding the aftermath of conflict. In 2018-19, I was a Charles Wallace Fellow in Social Anthropology at Queen’s University Belfast.
