Sean Hiddleston

I joined the CDT in 2018. In 2016, I graduated from the University of Glasgow with a BSc(Hons) in Chemistry, and in 2018, I graduated from the University of Surrey with an MRes in Chemistry.

CDT PhD Project Title: Molecule Based Magnets

Supervisor: Dr Solveig FeltonQueen’s University Belfast

General Research/Science Interests:
I am very interested in the field of molecular magnetism. My undergraduate project in Glasgow was based on single chain magnets and the CDT has allowed me to continue studying in a similar field.

Outside of work:
I like tennis, animals, food, travelling, and I am learning Mandarin.

Testimonial:
The CDT has given me the opportunity to broaden my overall knowledge of science while still allowing me to study a project in a field I enjoy. As a student with a chemistry background, my knowledge of physics has improved greatly because of the CDT.
