The Investors in People Framework measures how well organisations are doing at leading and supporting their staff; and the impact of people-related strategies and initiatives. The outworking of the assessment provides a detailed analysis of current strengths and how the School can maintain a positive and inclusive culture in an era of agile working.

“People are intrinsic to the success of the School. You in turn work hard to enhance the staff experience through a series of targeted actions and initiatives to support development, diversity and inclusivity, performance, engagement, and wellbeing. Everyone should be extremely proud of this We invest in people SILVER award, considering what has been a time of change and challenge. It provides a sound basis to build upon for the future. We wish you every success.” (IIP Assessment Report January 2024)

Commenting on the Award, Professor Karen Rafferty, Head of School said: “This is a fantastic achievement, and one that reflects the support and contribution of every single person in the School of EEECS. As a School we never forget that our continued success is down to our brilliant community of people, and we will continue to ensure our culture is one that puts people first in order to promote excellence and meet the School’s vision”.
