The EEECS Learning Lab full of potential students and interested parents

The school of EEECS was delighted to hold the inaugural Computing Parents’ Evening on Wednesday 9th October 2019 in the Computer Science Building, welcoming some 500+ potential students and their parents and family. This event was targeted at parents/guardians and sons/daughters in years 11, 12 and 13 who are studying or considering studying Computing subjects at GCSE, A Level or equivalent vocational qualifications.

Students and their parents had the opportunity to hear about our degrees from current students, graduates and academic staff. Visitors explored the Computer Science Building including the Makerspace, Lego Lab and Virtual Reality Lab and tried out some of our incredible technology.

Employers from local companies also attended to share some of the opportunities for IT graduates both during study and after graduation.
