CTF Programme

Sign Up Today

CSIT’s new Capture the Flag (CTF) pilot programme is designed to help you develop practical cyber security skills in a real-world, challenge-driven environment.

The six-week programme includes guided labs, collaborative challenges, and a final competition, all supported by CSIT engineers and academics.

Build your technical confidence, collaborate with peers, and prepare for future CTF competitions.

Places on the programme are allocated on a first come first served bases to students that meet the prerequisite criteria. Participants are capped at 20.

WHEN AND WHERE?

Every Thursday from 5th February - 12th March 2026

2:00PM – 4:30PM
Red Room, Centre for Secure Information Technologies (CSIT), Queen's Titanic Quarter.

Transport Available from the Computer Science Building.

WHO CAN JOIN

Open to MSc and postgraduate students with core cyber or computing skills. Undergraduates may join if prerequisites are met.

PREREQUESITES

  • Good Knowledge of Linux
  • Basic understanding / motivation to understand offensive security concepts
  • Knowledge of common networking protocols (TCP/IP stack)
WHY TAKE PART?
