Supporting Cancer Planning, Research, and Education

The Northern Ireland Cancer Registry (NICR) is based at the Centre for Public Health at Queen’s University Belfast and is funded by the Public Health Agency (PHA). Established by the Department of Health in 1994, the NICR continues to receive support through the PHA. It produces the annual Official Statistics on cancer incidence, prevalence, and survival in Northern Ireland, providing vital evidence to guide decisions about cancer services.
