Dr Koichi Samuels is a postdoctoral research fellow and electronic musician based at Sonic Arts Research Centre, Queen’s University Belfast. In this seminar, Samuels explores the broader implications of his ethnographic study of The Drake Music Project Northern Ireland. He discusses the potentials of music and digital technology as mediums that can be utilised to performatively imagine alternative social relations and ways of being that embrace and celebrate diversity and difference.
