This concert investigates a number of approaches to sample-based composition focusing on a recent work, On the Éire, the sixth work in Landy’s Radio Series. It combines universals found in broadcasts everywhere with specifically Irish material celebrating the richness of the culture on the Emerald Isle as well as some of its quirks.
Leigh Landy is Professor of Contemporary Music and Director of the Music, Technology and Innovation Research Centre (MTIRC) at De Montfort University.
