Layers and Shadows: Recital for voice and electronics with Elizabeth Hilliard

 An exciting programme of vocal works all written for Irish soprano Elizabeth Hilliard. Each takes a different approach to text and meaning. Christopher Fox: Sea to the West for voice and fixed electronics (2013) Ian Wilson: New Work for voice and loopstation (2020, World Premiere) David Bremner: Since the Appearance for voice and fixed electronics(2015, rev. 2020) Gráinne Mulvey: Gift of Freedom for voice and fixed electronics (2010) Jennifer Walshe: New Folksong Collection (2016) 

 Elizabeth Hilliard is one of Ireland's leading exponents of contemporary vocal music. As a singer, she has performed many world premieres by composers from Ireland and further afield, and in particular collaborates regularly with the composers Gráinne Mulvey, David Bremner and Christopher Fox.
