Our MSc in Applied Cyber Security aims to develop the next generation of industry leaders and address a global shortage of cybersecurity professionals.

The emphasis of our programme is to provide graduates with a comprehensive understanding of the cyber security challenges facing industry and society, both today and in the future, and to equip students with the skills necessary to address those challenges.

The MSc offers students a syllabus informed by the world-class research being undertaken at Queen’s University Belfast’s Centre for Secure Information Technologies (CSIT). CSIT was recently honoured by Her Majesty the Queen for its work in strengthening global cyber security and protecting the online activity of billions of internet users around the world; It is a GCHQ accredited Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Research.

CSIT is fast developing a reputation as a global innovation hub for cyber security and is influenced throughout by its strong history of commercial engagement with world leading companies including Allstate, BAE Systems, Equiniti, Euronext, IBM, Infosys, McAfee, Roke and Thales.
