A brand-new course starting January 2026 - The MSc Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at Queen’s University Belfast is designed to equip students with the technical expertise and applied experience needed to work at the forefront of AI. Delivered jointly by the School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and the School of Mathematics and Physics, the programme combines advanced teaching in machine learning, data analytics, computer vision, and natural language processing with a strong emphasis on responsible and ethical AI. Assessment is entirely project-based, enabling students to graduate with a portfolio of practical work across AI engineering, analytics, and ethics, preparing them for careers in sectors such as healthcare, finance, sustainability, and technology and much more.
This programme is aimed at graduates with a strong foundation in computing, engineering, mathematics, or physics who are ready to advance their expertise in artificial intelligence and data science. Applicants will normally hold at least a 2:1 Honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
