Interactive Session: Mathematics and Music
Many students find the topic of logarithms particularly difficult. At this event, we will offer a different perspective on logarithms by showing how we can use them to understand the equal temperament scale in music that was first developed by Bach.
During this short talk, Dr Gareth Tribello and Dr Andrew Brown will offer a different perspective on Maths and some introduction to the ways that we think about logarithms and plotting graphs on logarithmic scales at university.
