Painting Across Distance

Long-Distance Research Methods: Painting Across

This research method was developed by Maruška Svašek during the pandemic, and was used to conduct online interviews with migrants women based in (Northern) Ireland. As a distinct epistemology, the method produced an alternative mode of ‘hanging out’ and comprised an embodied mode of interlinked on- and off-line experience and knowing-through-making that revealed specific aspects of pandemic life.
