CDT PIADS has initiated this exciting careers networking event, which will bring together CDT students, academics and industrial partners from 3 EPSRC Centres for Doctoral Training (CDTs) Photonic Integration and Advanced Data Storage, Intelligent Sensing & Measurement, and Applied Photonics.  

The main focus of the workshop, which will be held at the University of Strathclyde on 22 October 2018, is doctoral student career enhancement.  It offers co-current industry-led workshops throughout the day on everything from spin-outs to careers the sectors relevant to research, as well as networking and advice for the next step of the students' careers.  CDT students will gain exposure to industry and business practice with cohesive interactive actives with PhD and EngD peers from other centres.  The programme includes explicit networking opportunities to encourage CDT students to foster new collaborations across institutions and to build new relationships with industry/academic partners; opening the door for new grant applications, for example.
