CSIT Welcomes Northern Ireland Assembly Committee for the Economy

11 June, 2025

The Centre for Secure Information Technologies (CSIT) was delighted to host the Northern Ireland Assembly Committee for the Economy on 11th June 2025.

During the visit, we showcased some of our latest research and innovation in Cyber Security and Artificial Intelligence, areas where CSIT continues to lead globally. The event provided an invaluable platform to share insights into the transformative work taking place within our £10 million Cyber-AI Hub.

Discussions centred on the growing impact of the Hub and our vision for its expansion, particularly through Momentum One Zero, into strategically important sectors such as Health and AgriFood. These developments aim to drive forward Northern Ireland’s position as a leader in secure and intelligent technologies.

Professor Máire O’Neill, CSIT Director, said: " The support and engagement from the Committee strengthens our mission to shape a safer, smarter digital future for everyone. As CSIT continues to work at the forefront of technological advancement, we look forward to deepening our collaborations across academia, industry, and government to support Northern Ireland’s thriving tech ecosystem.”
