Minister Patrick Visits CSIT to Explore Research Excellence and Industry Impact
CSIT was honoured to welcome Minister Matthew Patrick, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State in the Northern Ireland Office, for a special visit highlighting the world-leading research and innovation underway at the centre.
During the visit, the Minister received an overview of CSIT's cutting-edge research, highlighting the centre's leadership in cybersecurity, including secure hardware, industrial control systems security, and trustworthy AI. Discussions focused on how CSIT’s research is addressing critical national and global challenges, and continuing to shape the future of secure digital technologies.
The Minister toured CSIT’s state-of-the-art facilities and met with engineers and researchers. The team showed the labs and provided further detail on current research projects and industry engagement.
Key themes of the visit centred on excellence in research, innovation with industry, and shaping policy, reinforcing CSIT’s position as a national hub for cyber security expertise and collaboration.
