Celebrating the Success of the Second NICYBER2025-Funded MSc Cohort
The second cohort of students funded through the NICYBER2025 programme have officially graduated, marking another milestone in building Northern Ireland’s cyber security talent pipeline.
This transformative initiative, supported by the Northern Ireland Office and Innovate UK, continues to strengthen collaboration between academia, government, and industry to nurture the next generation of cyber professionals.
Among this year’s graduates, one student achieved a distinction in MSc Advanced Computer Science, with an impressive overall average of 76% and the highest final mark of 77% for their industry-based project. Their project was shortlisted for the Hawker Siddeley Prize, a recognition of academic excellence and industry focus.
Reflecting their experience, one graduate shared:
“Through the NI Cyber Bursary, I was able to benefit from completing my dissertation alongside an industry partner. This resulted in me gaining industry experience and I was invited to give a presentation to the company I was collaborating with.”
These outcomes demonstrate how this programme equips graduates with both technical expertise and practical experience, ensuring they are well prepared for evolving roles across the cyber ecosystem.
Congratulations to the Class of 2025!
