The Rolls-Royce Cyber Technology Research Network (CTRN) launched in 2020 with the goal of building a collaboration with leading cyber security research universities to help address the growing cyber threats to the systems we produce to connect, power and protect society.

The network consists of Rolls-Royce, Queen’s University in Belfast, Purdue University in Indiana and Carnegie Mellon University in Pennsylvania.

The conference provided an opportunity for collaboration and networking among the partner organisations and universities as well as hearing from the researchers working on projects that are underway.

Professor Máire O’Neill, Director at the Centre for Secure Information Technologies (CSIT) based at Queen’s University, commented: “We were delighted to welcome our colleagues within the Rolls-Royce CTRN network to Belfast for the 2nd annual conference. The event was a real success for idea sharing and collaboration. We remain committed to strengthening the response to emerging and sophisticated cyber threats through research and collaboration.”
