Ms Caroline Craig

Caroline Craig graduated with a degree in Biomedical Sciences from QUB.

'I returned to education as a mature student in order to increase my career opportunities. I chose Biomedical Sciences at Queen's as it is a respected University and the course is designed to prepare students for work within a medical laboratory which was my aim. The course was enjoyable but also challenging, each module offered something different and taught many skills that are easily transferable, this enabled some of my classmates to pursue careers in medicine, academia and also in industry. After graduating I worked as a desk based scientist at Randox laboratories before achieving my goal of gaining employment as a Biomedical Scientist in the NHS, a role that requires continual learning and development, and provides the career opportunities that I was looking for.'
