Jeni Cross

Dr. Cross is founding Director of the Institute for Research in the Social Sciences (IRISS) and Director of the Team Science Core for the Colorado Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute. She has been on the forefront of creating training, interventions, and assessments for transdisciplinary science teams since 2015. Dr. Cross and her team have developed team science curriculum for early career scientists, team leaders, and community partners. IRISS is working with dozens of emerging and established teams to accelerate team integration and development of team science competencies.
Dr. Cross uses social network analysis to examine how teams emerge and change over time. She has used these methods to study public health coalitions, green building design teams, and large scientific teams. Additionally, she studies the processes of social change with a special focus on community-led initiatives. Her research is published in over a dozen fields of science and her TED talk on Behaviour Change has been viewed over a million times and adopted by dozens of courses across the globe.
