"I was consistently impressed by the dedication and expertise of my professors at Queen's. Their passion for teaching and research was evident in every class, and they provided me with the ideal support and guidance to help me achieve my full potential.
The university's emphasis on academic excellence and student well-being created a perfect balance, allowing me to grow both intellectually and personally during my time at Queens."
GIFT City postgraduate taught students will have full access to the Thomas J. Moran Graduate School’s online skills programme, designed to support your academic success and confidence at postgraduate level.
This includes our Academic Writing Series, covering academic integrity and the essentials of postgraduate writing, from avoiding plagiarism and refining your writing style, to reading critically, taking good notes, writing abstracts and introductions, developing literature reviews, and structuring methods, results, discussions and conclusions. You can also join sessions focused on progressing your work steadily, including Postgraduate Productivity workshops on managing your study time and optimising your writing, and our Wake Up and Write programme to help you set attainable writing goals and keep momentum.
Students will also be able to take part in our Communicating with Impact series, which supports you to share your ideas clearly and professionally.
Workshops include designing academic posters, preparing for conferences, presenting your work, and building networks and collaborations, as well as organising and facilitating events.
We also offer sessions focused on wellbeing and performance, such as building emotional resilience. In addition to the online workshop programme, GIFT City students will have access to CMI Level 5 leadership and management training, as well as 1:1 academic skills appointments for tailored support with writing, study strategies and academic communication.
We are committed to training students to be thinkers, leaders and innovators, not just subject experts.
"At Queen’s GIFT City Campus, this commitment shapes everything. From our teaching to our culture, we create the kind of learning environment that prepares students for real-world impact. We nurture confident, curious minds, ready to step into careers with purpose — and equipped to lead, adapt and thrive "
