Copenhagen - May 2016

Supervisors, Early Stage Researchers (ESRs), and the project coordination team meet in May 2016.

Copenhagen May 2016

The 3rd REMEDIATE network meeting was held at the University of Copenhagen.

The evening before the meeting, the group visited the neighbourhood of Freetown Christiania, and we learned about the area’s rich history and the community that has developed. Network members enjoyed dinner while catching up and sharing news.

The first day of the meeting was held in the Auditorium in the Faculty of Life Sciences on the beautiful campus of the university, and started with a networking lunch. After a welcome and introduction to the city and university from Professor Kristian Koefoed Brandt, ESRs gave updates on their project progress, followed by discussions on opportunities for cooperation between beneficiaries.

After a Student Council meeting, the project participants were given tours of the facilities in the faculty. Dinner was held in the university buildings.

The second day of the meeting was held in the Department of Plant and Environmental Science, and consisted of a Supervisory Board meeting, a technical networking session and a project management meeting. After lunch the meeting was closed. The next REMEDIATE network meeting will be held in Dublin in early 2017, with the first summer school in June 2016 at Queen's University Belfast.
