SFF: Researchers

Are you a Researcher or PhD student?

Join this 4-day online bootcamp 18-26 April 2024 (8am-4pm) to learn how to commercialise your research with support from expert coaches at the University of Ghent.

Sessions will be held: Thursday 18th, Friday 19th, Thursday 25th and Friday 26th November. The programme is open to PhD students, post-docs, professors or other type of researchers who are interested in commercialising their research.

Start for Future (SFF) is an international network of entrepreneurial universities and incubators working together to transform universities to develop sustainable, innovative programmes that enable future leaders and change-makers.

All participants on the programme and business coaches will sign an NDA. You will also learn how to pitch without revealing aspects that might influence the patent pending status. However it is important that you consult with your research supervisor before applying in case this programme impacts on legal IP agreements.  PhD students are also strongly encouraged to consult with your research supervisor so that they are aware of the time you are spending on the programme.

If you do not yet have an idea ready to commercialise, you are still welcome to apply to the programme.

(PhD students can also participate in the other SFF programmes).
