Introductory Educate the Educator in simulation-based education (Full day ‘in-person’ course Thursday 19th June 2025)

This practical and interactive course offers an overview of the key elements involved in delivering high-quality simulation-based education. Participants will receive hands-on training in:

  • Core principles of effective simulation-based learning
  • Designing a simulation-based educational activity
  • Conducting effective pre-briefing sessions
  • Facilitating simulation sessions with impact
  • Leading meaningful debriefings

  • Cost: £25 for QUB staff, £75 for non-QUB participants 
  • Eligibility: Open to health and social care professionals, academics, and postgraduate students

Educate the Researcher: Introduction to Qualitative Research in Simulation-Based Education (Full day ‘in-person’ course Friday 20th June 2025)

This interactive course introduces qualitative research methods, specifically within the context of simulation-based education. Topics covered include:

  • Foundations of robust qualitative research
  • Developing clear and relevant research questions
  • Using theory to guide your research approach
  • Conducting qualitative research interviews
  • Performing thematic analysis
  • Navigating the process of publishing your research in academic journals
