FIND OUT MORE
Student experience is at the heart of everything we do here in Planning in the School of Natural and Built Environment. That's why we think it's vital to come and experience it for yourself and meet our current students. They can give you a glimpse into what studying here is like and help you make an informed decision about your future degree choice.
It will also provide an opportunity to meet with the lecturing staff in an informal environment and hear about how we deliver our teaching and assessments. You will also be able to sit in on a lecture with some of our current Level 1 students and get a feel for what it is like to study at university, as well as visit our world-class facilities, including the McClay library.
THIS EVENT WILL PROVIDE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
- Find out more about Planning at Queen's, including course content, hours of study, assessment methods and career opportunities
- Hear from current students about their personal experiences and gain a real insight into what student life at Queen’s is like
- Explore campus with current students, so don't forget to wear comfy shoes

The Planning discipline promotes interdisciplinary working and research led teaching with the goal of facilitating collaborative learning among faculty, students, and practitioners.
The ethos of the Planning School is to focus on the development of knowledge, skills and competencies within our students, which flow directly from a professional remit that is spatial, sustainable, integrative and inclusive. Through our programmes, we encourage students to reflect on the outcomes and drivers of the planning and development process whilst simultaneously developing practical skills and exposing them to real-world experience.
Further information about our undergraduate courses in planning can be found on our coursefinder (see BSc in Planning, Environment and Development or the MPlan in European Planning). You can also visit our discipline webpage where you will find more information about the ethos of the school.
