As part of the recruitment process, you may be invited to attend an assessment centre. These consist of a series of tasks designed to give the employers an insight into how you respond in a variety of situations.

In this workshop, you’ll gain an insight into the kinds of tasks you might expect at an assessment centre and how to prepare for these activities. You’ll have the opportunity to participate in a practice group activity in a small group with other students.
Throughout the workshop, you’ll receive feedback on leadership, teamwork, group decision-making and time management skills.
Meet the consultants, Diane Masson and Joan Connolly
Diane and Joan are the Postgraduate Employability and Careers Consultants at the Graduate School. Diane is a qualified Careers Consultant with over 20 years of experience in Higher Education, is skilled in career guidance and counselling with extensive experience in delivering career education programmes.
Diane is an affiliate member of Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Service (AGCAS) and Association of Higher Education Careers Services (AHECS).
Joan is a qualified Careers Adviser with over eighteen years of relevant experience in Higher Education. Within the Graduate School, Joan develops and implements employability programmes to enhance students' personal and professional development and is also a Myers Briggs Practitioner.
