Developing novel polymerisable building blocks for Molecular Imprinting for applications in bioanalysis, affinity separations, sensors, catalysis, and polymeric sorbents for environmental clean-up.

Research Interests

Open to PhD applications in:

  • Research centred on the major strands of current research including molecularly imprinted polymers, nutrient recovery and sustainability and sensors.

Public outreach & key achievements

  • Work on nutrient recovery and sustainability highlighted by broadcast interviews on local and national radio stations and associated widespread articles on various news web sites.

  • Co-Founder and director of the Irish Nutrient Sustainability Platform.
  • Secretary and Treasurer of the RSC Analytical Division, NI Section.

  • Featured in the 2018 Analytical Scientist Power List: 40-under-40.
