Well done to Hannah Little who has won the Irish heat of the 2016 Institute of Materials Young Person's Lecture Competition! Her winning lecture was entitled 'Bone Scaffolds for the Regeneration of Critical Sized Defects: A 3D-Printing Approach Using Tailored Materials'.  Hannah is in the second year of her PhD at the School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at Queens where she previously studied Product Design Engineering. The title of her PhD project is ‘Additive Manufacture of Bioresorbable Hard Tissue Scaffolds' and her supervisory team includes  Professor Fraser Buchanan, Susan Clarke and Dr Eoin Cunningham.  This competition has been organised and held annually by the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining since 2005 and as a national heat winner, Hannah will now be attending the world final in Araxa, Brazil in October 2016.
