School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Student Wins Female Undergraduate of the Year Award

2 April, 2019
UG of the Year Award Winner May 2019

School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering student Jude Cameron has won the Female Undergraduate of the Year Award 2019.  Jude is currently on placement with Stryker Belfast after the third year of her MEng in Mechanical Engineering. She will return to the School in September 2019 to complete her degree.

TARGETjobs Undergraduate of the Year Awards is a competition open to students across the UK where they can win prizes such as placements, internships and trips abroad with internationally recognised organisations. There are 14 different awards that cover a range of academic subjects and skillsets. This is the 10th year of the awards and a record 4,500 students applied.

To make it to the final of the Undergraduate of the Year Awards 2019 students must first complete an application, including essay style questions and online tests.  Once passing that stage students are either invited to a telephone interview or to take part in an assessment centre.

Further information on the awards can be found here

The School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering is keen to build strong relationships with industry partners and we are thrilled to see such positive results from the placement opportunities afforded to our students.
