Graduating in 2024, Varshitha was named one of Belfast’s ‘22 Under 22 Entrepreneurs to Watch’ for her inspiring leadership and commitment to inclusion. As Chairperson of the Queen’s International Students’ Association, she fostered a welcoming environment for global students while also volunteering in local community initiatives like Handy Helpers and Homework Club. Her dedication to social impact and global engagement reflects the values of Queen’s and marks her as a future leader to watch as highlighted by the Queen’s 18-45 leaders.

Graduating in 2023 with an MSc in Quantitative Finance (now MSc Financial Analytics), Rory returned to Queen’s to upskill in coding and financial modelling after working in private equity. The course equipped him with practical experience in Python, R, and SQL, and he gained leadership experience as ESG Sector Head in the Queen’s Student Managed Fund. Now working as a Trainee Broker at Aurel BGC in London, he credits the programme’s hands-on learning, industry insights, and supportive environment for preparing him to thrive in a fast-paced front office role.

Graduating in 2018 with a BSc in Finance with a Year in Industry, Rory was inspired by the Global Financial Crisis to understand the mechanics of finance and gained valuable experience through a placement in Queen’s own finance and tax offices. His career has spanned roles in risk analysis, fintech consulting, and now big data engineering at ASOS, where he applies his passion for data to support innovation at scale. He credits Queen’s with developing his analytical mindset, adaptability, and confidence to pursue a dynamic and evolving career in finance and technology.

After graduating in 2018, Rachel joined EY Consulting, where she has progressed to Manager, working on diverse transformation projects across sectors. Her degree at Queen’s equipped her with essential communication, research, and collaboration skills, further enriched by hands-on experiences like a real-world research project with the YMCA and leadership in Queen’s Radio. She credits Queen’s for offering a well-rounded experience that prepared her for a dynamic consulting career and board-level leadership in the non-profit sector.

Graduating in 2019 Francesca combined her passion for business and languages, gaining valuable international experience during her placement in Paris. Since then, she has co-founded two businesses—including VAVA Influence, a leading influencer marketing agency—and now supports student entrepreneurs through her role at Queen’s SU Enterprise. Her degree, placement, and extracurricular involvement laid the foundation for a dynamic career in entrepreneurship, with highlights including launching Northern Ireland’s first TikTok House and being named one of NI’s 30 Under 30.

Maurizio is a Solution Architect at Factor Law, where he develops legal services solutions and pricing strategies for clients in financial services, life sciences, and enterprise sectors. He began his career at General Electric in operations and commercial finance after earning his Master’s from Queen’s University Belfast, and has since led data and AI initiatives within legal and regulatory projects. Beyond his professional work, Maurizio is a One Young World Ambassador, a Consultant at Force of Nature, and the founder of both Climate Ireland and the Queen’s University Belfast Economics Alumni group.
