Fees and Discounts
QBS 2026 Summer School Fees:
- Option 1 (20th – 24th July): £1500 for 1 week cultural discovery
- Option 2 (20th – 31st July): £2750 for 2 weeks cultural discovery and academic masterclasses
The fee includes:
- Tuition fees
- Queen’s ensuite accommodation
- Welcome reception and farewell celebration
- Cultural excursions
- Certificate of completion
£200 deposit is required within 2 weeks of receiving an offer.

- Application Open Date: Monday 9th March 2026
- Application Close Date: Friday 8th May 2026
- Payment Deadline: Friday 22nd May 2026
- Student Arrival Date: Sunday 19th July 2026
- Summer School Start Date: Monday 20th July 2026
- Entry Requirements
- Be over 18 years old by the start of the summer school
- Have a minimum GPA of 2.7
- Have a referee or referral contact
- Open to both undergraduate and postgraduate students
- Be competent in written and spoken English
- How to Apply
- Please download and complete the application form, and return it together with all supporting documents to yaping.chen@qub.ac.uk before closing date of 8 May 2026.
- Supporting documents include: Academic Transcript, Proof of Enrollment, Copy of Passport/ID, and English Language Certificate (if required)
- If you are accepted into the summer school, we will send you further details on how to pay your deposit.
- Visa Requirements
- Please read our Study Abroad guidance pages for visa information and requirements.
- Students should begin to prepare as early as possible before they are required to begin their studies. This should allow them sufficient time to have everything in order for their arrival at Queen’s.
- If you are an international student, you will receive a Visa support letter from the University on payment of fee in full.

Accommodation
- Summer School accommodation will be arranged by Queen’s University. Participants will be housed in modern, comfortable, and secure en-suite rooms. All rooms include bed linen, towels, and a complimentary toiletry pack.
- Each residence features shared kitchen facilities, typically accommodating up to 11 students. Kitchens are fully equipped with electrical appliances, crockery, cooking equipment, and utensils, and tea and coffee-making facilities are provided.
- Your booking will include:
- Queen’s Elms BT9 accommodation
- Private room and private ensuite bathroom
- Utility bills and WiFi Internet
- Bed linen and towels
- Communal kitchen
- 24-hour safety staff
- Reception (8am - 8pm, 7 days a week)
