Dedicated members of our QUB Rare Disease Focus Team are maximising the outcomes from the LifeArc Centre for Acceleration of Rare Disease Trials (ARDT), which is helping get more medicines to more people who need them faster. Bringing together expertise in research, digital infrastructure, clinical practice, and patient engagement, the QUB team works closely with national and international partners to identify barriers to rare‑disease trials, co‑design solutions, and strengthen opportunities for patients across Northern Ireland to access innovative studies. Co-leading this Centre with people from our local rare disease community helps ensure voices, needs, and strengths of the NI rare‑disease community are clearly represented within this major national initiative.
