The Immigration Support Service team provides specialist advice in relation to visa and immigration matters, including applying for your visa to come to the UK and assisting you with any queries you may have during your time here.
Our immigration advice and services are carried out in accordance with the UKCISA Codes of Ethics, and we are authorised to provide immigration advice by the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner who regulate the provision of immigration advice in the UK.
Our Immigration Advice team can assist with any questions you may have about your immigration status, and can provide advice and guidance about applying for your Student visa. We are the only staff in the University who can answer questions about immigration issues. We can assist with the following:
* Applying for a Student visa to come to the UK
* Extending your Student visa in the UK
* Lost passport or Biometric Resident Permit (BRP) card
* Taking time away from your studies
* Visa implications of any changes to your study plans
Our Immigration Compliance team are responsible for ensuring that all students have the correct immigration permission to study in the UK, and to ensure Student visa holders meet their responsibilities under the conditions of their visas. We can assist with the following:
* Biometric Resident Permit (BRP) collection
* Biometric Resident Permit (BRP) errors
* Immigration Document Checks
* Engagement Monitoring
* Report students are eligible for the Graduate Route
Please note that immigration advice can only be provided in writing or at a virtual or in-person appointment with one of our specialist Immigration Advisers.
